A Beatrice man was sentenced to probation in Gage County this week for possessing child pornography.

Scott A. Buck Sr. was sentenced to three years of probation for each of three counts possession of child pornography. The sentences will all be served consecutively, totaling nine years on probation.

Buck was arrested last May after law enforcement detected child pornography files being shared from his computer.

According to arrest documents, between April 21-24, 251 files were received from a device with the IP address detected by authorities.

The address was registered to Windstream and reportedly located in Lincoln.

Lincoln police obtained a subpoena and determined the IP address belonged to Buck.

A search warrant was obtained, and Buck allegedly admitted to obtaining child pornography via a file sharing program on his computer.

In an unrelated case, Buck was arrested in Lincoln in January for allegedly sexually assaulting two children during a 14-year period in Lincoln, according to court documents.

In that case he faces two counts of first-degree sexual assault of a minor, together punishable by up to 100 years imprisonment.

In an arrest warrant affidavit, an investigator said Buck repeatedly assaulted his victims between December 1990 and December 2004. Both of the children knew him.

The case is scheduled for a hearing on Tuesday in Lancaster County Court.
