Beatrice police arrested a man early Monday for multiple drug violations following a brief pursuit.

At around 1:30 a.m. Monday, Beatrice police were notified that Jacoby G. Wilcox was at the north Casey's General Store in Beatrice and was going to drive a motorcycle without a license.

Court documents state police knew Wilcox had a revoked license, and an officer saw him get onto a motorcycle and drive east on Arthur Street.

Police conducted a traffic stop and Wilcox appeared to be under the influence of methamphetamine. While being searched, Wilcox fled police on foot. Police caught him and court documents state he continued to resist while being arrested.

He had a bag in his hand that contained 9.3 grams of methamphetamine and 8 grams of Psilocybin mushrooms, and 10 doses of LSD were also recovered.

Wilcox was arrested for driving during revocation, possession of methamphetamine, possession of mushrooms, possession of LSD, possession of marijuana and resisting arrest. Bond was set at $7,500 with a 10 percent deposit. Wilcox's next hearing is set for Nov. 27.
