Beatrice police arrested a woman for drug possession following a traffic stop, early Tuesday.

Brittany L. Martin, 28, was arrested Tuesday for possession of methamphetamine with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and driving under suspension.

Martin was arrested at around 1 a.m. when a Beatrice police officer saw a white SUV traveling south on Ninth Street.

The driver appeared to not know where she was going and was contacted by the officer when she pulled into an alley.

Court documents state Martin was asked if there was anything in her pockets and she pulled out a baggie of marijuana. A juvenile was in the passenger seat of the SUV.

Upon searching the vehicle, a large bag of meth weighing around an ounce was recovered from under the driver's seat.

Bond was set at $5,000 with a 10 percent deposit. Her next hearing is set for Sept. 11.
