A Beatrice woman was arrested early Monday after allegedly grabbing a man by the neck.
Shortly after midnight on Monday Beatrice police responded to a residence in the 700 block of Ella Street for reports of a disturbance.
Upon arrival, officers spoke to a woman identified as Lacy Jones who said she had been in an argument with a man who also lives at the residence, according to arrest documents.
The male allegedly told officers that Jones grabbed him by the neck, causing difficulty breathing. Arrest documents noted the male victim had red marks on his neck.
Jones denied assaulting the man and was placed under arrest for third-degree domestic assault and strangulation.
Jones is scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 27.
