Suicide is the tenth leading cause of death in this country. It touches millions of lives — people of all ages, ethnicities, and backgrounds — but the research is clear: suicide is preventable, and the more people who stand up for suicide prevention and mental health, the more lives we can save.

I’m walking for my father who we loss to suicide in May of 2007, and also my mother in May of 2009, so it has opened my eyes greatly to life a lot more.
I wanted to reach out and help others, as well as raise awareness for suicide prevention and mental illness. I know what it feels like to lose my loved ones to suicide and don't want others to feel that same pain.
