The Beatrice Red Cross Blood Mobile was held at the Holiday Inn Express on February 27-28. It was a very successful drive as we received eight units over our goal. This is great as the need for blood is critical. A lot of drives have been cancelled due to the weather. Cookies were provided by the Cortland Homemakers extension club and the donuts by SunMart. We appreciate all of the volunteers that come out each month and for the several new people that have joined.

A big thank you goes out to Dorothy Daubendick for her twelve years of volunteering as a coordinator. Dorothy is retiring this year and will be missed, but Evie Dorn is going to take over her job with the Red Cross. We welcome Evie and know that she will do a great job.
