The Beatrice Exmark Legion Seniors will be the third seed in the B1 Area Tournament hosted by Nebraska City.

Beatrice will open tournament play on Friday at 5 p.m. against sixth seeded Falls City. 

With a win, Beatrice would play at 5 p.m. on Saturday against the winner of Friday's first round game between second-seeded Hickman and seventh-seeded Lincoln Christian.

On the other side of the bracket, fifth-seeded Plattsmouth opens against fourth-seeded Auburn. The winner of that will play on Saturday against top-seeded Nebraska City, who has a first round bye.

The tournament is scheduled to last through Tuesday. The champion of the tournament will advance to the Class B State Tournament in Gering.

Beatrice is currently 13-13 on the season. Their most recent games took place in Kearney over the weekend. It was a tough weekend for Exmark. They fell to Lincoln Northeast 5-0, Hastings 5-1, Home Federal 12-3 and Kearney Runza 12-4.

Several other Sunalnd teams will be competing in the Class C4 Area Tournament being hosted by Wilber. Those Sunland teams include Adams-Sterling, Wilber, Tecumseh and Wymore. That bracket has not been released yet.

The champion of the C4 Area Tournament will advance to the Class C State Tournament in Syracuse.
