ASHLAND -- The Beatrice Exmark Legion Seniors lost a slug fest to Ashland on Sunday.

Beatrice fell 12-8 in the game. All 12 of Ashland's runs came in the second and third innings, eight of which came in the third inning. Beatrice held a 7-4 lead prior to that eight run inning.

Exmark had seven hits in the game compared to Ashland's eight hits. Ashland benefited from three Beatrice defensive errors.

Hayden DeBoer had two doubles in the game to lead Beatrice's offense. Austin Burroughs had a single, two RBI's and a run scored. Sean Pinkerton had a single, two RBI's and two runs scored. Griffen Vater, Peyton Murphy and Zack Zimmerman had a single each.

Austin Burroughs, Peyton Murphy and Hayden DeBoer all combined to pitch in the game.

The Exmark Seniors also lost on Wednesday to Lincoln East 7-0. They only had one hit in the game, a single by Qwin Zabokrtsky. Griffen Vater and Peyton Murphy combined to pitch in the loss.

On Tuesday, the Exmark Seniors fell to Gretna 9-1 in Gretna. Beatrice had five hits in the game, including a double from Hayden DeBoer. Will Reimer, Austin Burroughs, Brody Nelson and Chase Woltemath had a single each.

Beatrice is now 9-9 on the season. They played at Marysville, Kan. on Monday night and will travel to Fairbury on Tuesday night.
