The Beatrice boys and girls co-op swimming and diving teams picked up wins over Lincoln North Star Thursday night.

The girls team won their dual 119-57 while the boys edged out an 86-76 win at the Beatrice YMCA.

We were very pleased with the results of the meet tonight," said Beatrice Coach Marian Wallen. "The girls continue to be undefeated in their dual competitions. Many on the team have been down and out with illnesses this week, and some even swam not feeling well tonight. So, to have 32 personal best performances tonight was a great thing."

Wallen said many of their new freshmen swimmers were swimming in some new events and performed well.

"Freshman Crystal Craft works very hard in practices and competed in three events back to back tonight," Wallen said. "Freshman Nickolas Witulski had three personal best swims tonight and he also works hard in practice and is willing to do many different events. Freshman, Ellie Lenners, and Morgan McCubbin have been very versatile swimmers as well as senior Makalah Scheele. They are always willing to swim events where we need points"
