The East All-Stars came away with a sweep Friday night in the Southeast Nebraska All-Star volleyball match.
The East won the first three sets 25-11, 25-23, 25-22. A bonus fourth set was also played and the West was able to prevail in that 26-24.
Norris' Nyah Chambers was named the games most valuable player, which was decided on by the coaches and media in attendance.
The first set was tight early, but with the score 5-4, the East got a kill from Sterling's Sydney Huls followed by a kill from Chambers and a block from Chambers to make it 10-4.
A kill by Seward's Camryn Opfer ended the run, but Chambers answered with another kill and Lourdes Central Catholic's Jacey Kreifels followed that up with a kill to make it 13-5, forcing a West timeout.
Out of the timeout, Freeman's Kayla Haynes and Chambers had back-to-back kills, making it 15-5.
The West scored the next three points, but that's all the closer they'd get as the East went on to win 25-11.
Two kills and a block by Syracuse's Meredith Clark and a kill by Auburn's Emma Goering held the East jump out to a 5-1 lead in the second set.
The West climbed back into it and got within one at 10-9, but the East answered with four straight points, including two ace serves from Auburn's Sydnie Reeves, making the score 14-9.
The East fought back again to tie it at 18-18. The game was also tied at 19, 20 and 22. An error by the West made it 23-22. Two kills by Palmyra's Jenna Wilen would put the game away 25-22.
The East motored out to a 7-2 lead in the third set thanks to a kill and a block by Chambers, a kill by Haynes and a kill by Clark.
After a point by the West, Chambers came back with a kill and a block to make it 9-3.
Chambers and Haynes continued to answer West points with points of their own, but the West climbed back within two points at 15-13. Four straight points by the East, though, made it 19-13.
the West got back within two twice at 23-21 and 24-22, but a kill by Clark put the set away 25-22.
Neither team led by more than four points the entire fourth set. The set was dead even at 24-24 when Exeter-Milligan's Katherine White pounded home two straight kills to give the West the 26-24 win.
