WAHOO -- The Beatrice volleyball team won two out of three games Saturday at the Bishop Neumann Invite in Wahoo.

The Lady O picked up wins over Douglas County West and Omaha Gross, but fell to Bishop Neumann.

In the opener against Douglas County West, Beatrice won in straight sets 25-17, 25-23.

Beatrice then won their second match over Omaha Gross in three sets 25-27, 25-22, 25-22.

Ally Thavenet and Mariah Allen had 11 kills each for Beatrice while Ava Lovitt had six kills, McKenzie Osborne and Devyn Burroughs had three kills each and Hailey Schaaf had two kills.

Osborne had 21 assists and Lovitt had 12 assists. Thavenet had three ace serves and Allen had one ace serve.

Defensively, Burroughs had three blocks, Lovitt and Schaaf had two blocks each and Allen had one block. Mak Hatcliff had 28 digs, Lovitt had 20 digs, Osborne had 15 digs, Allen had 14 digs and Thavenet had 11 digs.

In the finale against Bishop Neumann, the Lady O fell in straight sets 25-14, 25-20.

No stats were reported for the Bishop Neumann or Douglas County West matches.

The Beatrice volleyball team is now 4-4 on the season and will be in action again on Thursday when they travel to Omaha Duchesne.
