The Beatrice boys tennis team won a convincing match over Ralston Tuesday afternoon at Hannibal Park in Beatrice.
Picking up wins were the No. 2 doubles team of Connor Kelley and Dawson Saathoff and the No. 3 doubles team of Connor Freitag and Max Meyer.
"Max and Conner made very short work of their opponents," said Beatrice coach Karen Dittbrenner. "They won 8-0 and finished 20 minutes ahead of the other two doubles matches."
Beatrice won all but one of their singles matches as well. Dittbrenner said she was most pleased with No. 2 player Max Meyer, who won 8-2.
"Max played a very solid player from Ralston and won 8-2," Dittbrenner said. "His serving game was on. He moved his feet well and just really worked to make sure he stayed focused from start to finish."

Also picking up singles wins was Colt Dittbrenner winning 8-4, Dawson Saathoff winning 8-0, Connor Kelley winning 9-7 and Zack Zimmerman winning 8-2.
Dittbrenner said she was pleased with the improvement since last season when the Orangemen narrowly defeated Ralston 5-4.
"We still need to get better," Dittbrenner said. "We jumped out to a lead in each match and some of the players lost momentum and allowed their opponent into the match. While the win is great, we have to figure out how to keep our foot on the gas for the entire match."
Beatrice will be in action again on Thursday when they travel to Omaha Roncalli.
