Pinkerton, Weiss earn state medals

OMAHA -- Beatrice seniors Jacob Pinkerton and Hunter Weiss both earned medals at the NSAA State Wrestling Championships in Omaha.

Pinkerton was able to earn fourth place in the 152-pound division while Hunter Weiss claimed sixth place in the 138-pound division.

Other medalists from the Sunland area include Fairbury's Jacob Johnson finishing fourth in the Class B 170-pound division and Justyn Franklin finishing fifth in the 152-pound division.

In Class C, Johnson County Central's Sam Saldivar finished sixth in the 106-pound division. In Class D, Freeman's Jacobson Podtburg finished sixth in the 285-pound division.
