The Sterling Jets took care of Southern in straight sets Tuesday in the nightcap of the MUDECAS B Division semifinals.
Sterling won 25-19, 25-16 over Southern and will now play Tri County in Thursday's B Division championship match at 6:30 p.m.
Colby Theis led the way for Sterling's offense with seven kills while Nicole Harms had four kills, Ella Wingert and Sydney Huls had two kills each and Carly Wenzl and Malayna Wingert had one kill each.
Wenzl had nine assists while Malayna Wingert had seven assists.
Sterling had eight ace serves in the match, four of which came from Malayna Wingert and three came from Huls. Thies also had an ace serve.
Defensively, Harms and Wenzl had one block each while Morgan Haner had 15 digs, Ella Wingert had 10 digs and Huls had eight digs.
Sterling reached Tuesday's semifinals by defeating Lewiston on Monday night in straight sets 25-7, 25-9.
In that match, Huls had five kills, Harms had three kills, Wenzl and Malayna Wingert had two kills each and Thies and Dani Janssen had one kill each.
Wenzl had seven assists in the match while Wingert had four assists. Theis had eight ace serves while Wingert and Harms had three ace serves each and Wenzl had two ace serves.
Defensively, Theis had three blocks while Ella Wingert and Malayna Wingert had four digs each.
Sterling is now 5-4 on the season and their championship match scheduled for 6:15 p.m. on Thursday against Tri County will take place at the Truman Center of the Southeast Community College campus in Beatrice.
This will be the first volleyball match of the year between Sterling and Tri County
That championship match will be the conclusion of a trio of B Division games that will take place on Thursday. In a consolation final at 1 p.m., Pawnee City will take on Johnson County Central at the Truman Center.
In a third place match at 3:30 p.m., Meridian will take on Southern at the Truman Center.
Parkview Christian and Lewiston have been eliminated from the B Division bracket.
