Beatrice's Olivia Aden recently signed her letter of intent to play softball at the University of Nebraska-Omaha. During her senior season at Beatrice, Aden played third base and hit .495 with 10 home runs. She had 42 runs scored and 39 RBI's. She helped lead the Lady O to a 32-6 record and a state runner-up finish in Class B.

Parents: Ron and Melody Aden

Major: Elementary education (K-6)

Reason for choosing UNO softball: "I chose UNO because it's close to home, the coaching staff has a great teaching program and it has always been my dream to play softball at the Division I level."

Softball honors: 4-year letter winner; two time Super-State Class B; 2x First team All-State Class B; 3x First team All-Conference RCC.

Other honors: Academic letter 4 years; Honor roll every quarter; 3x First team Academic All-Conference; Scholastic Achievment Award 3 years.

Advice: "Practice great work ethic and never settle. There will always be room for improvement and you can always become a better student in the classroom and player on the court or field. Set your goals high and never give up on your dreams.
