Beatrice senior Mariah Allen has decided to continue her volleyball career at Midland University. During her senior season at Beatrice, Allen helped lead her team to a 15-16 record. She had 222 total kills on the season as an outside hitter, averaging 2.7 kills per set. She was also second on the team in digs with 289 total digs. She also had 20 blocks and 22 service aces.

Major: Nursing

Why you chose Midland: "When I visited the campus, everyone was welcoming. Also, when I was at camps, they made me feel like I was already part of the team."

Volleyball honors: 4-year letter winner; All-State Honorable Mention; Class B Honorable Mention; RCC 1st and 2nd team

Other honors: 4-year varsity letter winner in soccer; Honor Roll; Renaissance.

Advice: "Always work hard and cherish every game/practice because four years will fly by."
