Hometown: Fresno, California
School: Clovis West
Date: Dec. 13, 2017
The skinny: Martinez is considered among the best dual-threat Class of 2018 quarterbacks in the country, but comes with some uncertainty because of shoulder surgery that caused him to miss his senior season. As a junior, he racked up more than 4,000 yards of offense and 39 touchdowns. He was the first player offered after Scott Frost got the job, he’s enrolling early, and he and the staff both think he fits the system perfectly.
Offers of note: Tennessee, Missouri, California, Alabama, Miami.
Lead recruiter: Mario Verduzco.
