OMAHA, Neb. — Beginning July 6, construction work on Interstate 80 will require overnight closures of the westbound exit and entrance ramps at 84th Street. The Nebraska Department of Transportation announced that the ramps will be closed nightly from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. for pavement repairs and asphalt overlay, weather permitting.
The project covers the stretch of I-80 between reference posts 448 and 449. Iowa Civil Contracting from Victor, Iowa, is the contractor overseeing the work. Traffic will be managed with appropriate control devices to maintain safety.
Motorists are advised to exercise caution in the construction zones, wear seat belts, and avoid distractions while driving. The department emphasizes the importance of safe driving during the ongoing roadway improvements.
